Discussing RAM upgrades
I’m planning to move from 8Gb to 16Gb of RAM. Right now I have a G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 CL16 at 2133 MHz, and my motherboard keeps rejecting upgrades unless I clear the screen and enter my password. I’m thinking about getting a fresh set from Corsair or just adding another batch of G.Skill units. It would save me around $45 CAD, though I’m unsure how that impacts the overall cost. I’m also considering selling my existing RAM to recoup some of that extra expense. Your advice would be appreciated. (Current RAM) https://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX59299

It depends on your budget, probably. I think 2x8 is better than 4x4, but it won’t change much unless you’re pushing your memory to its limit.
R3 2200G 4c/4Ghz paired with a Gigabyte B540 Aorus Elite, but once you get the RAM ready, you’ll likely want to switch your motherboard to an MSI model.
I'm still having issues reaching 2666 and seeing the blue screen. It doesn't look like the CPU is faulty—every core runs at 4GHz. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something.
My processor would operate at overclocked or stock performance but wouldn’t remain stable above 2133Mhz on memory. After months of memory overclocking to 3600Mhz, the IMC suddenly failed. AMD confirmed the issue is with the IMC. The return process was straightforward—they gave a prepaid shipping label, and it took about ten days. I received a brand-new retail box. Ryzen should be able to run at 2933Mhz, which matches the IMC rating for the Ryzen 2nd generation; anything beyond that isn’t guaranteed. Have you run Memtest to detect errors? It will report issues, but it’s unclear if the problem is with the IMC or the RAM—your symptoms seem similar.
