so here is what i got i have asus m4a89gtd-pro usb3 mother board yes i no its old but it dose what i want . when I built this unite i had 8gb of ram so recently i decided to up the ram to 16gb ,yes the board supports it , when i put the new ram in windows, cpuz and speccy sees it all but when i go in to bios it only sees half . tried clearing the cmos both by battery and the jumper but still the same. So i decided to put the old ram back in and even that is now showing in the bios as only half. the bios are as updated as it can go . Was thinking of just reflashing the bios to see what it would do . And yes i have reseated the ram and tried each stick one by one and they will show as supposed to . I just dont understand why the other programs see the ram but windows says that the 4gb are in reserve and bios dont see it at all . Any help would be appreciated thanks
Sorry for the delay, but it seems the CPU pins were bent, so I upgraded it to examine the old one more closely. Now I’m facing another issue after replacing the CPU and upgrading the RAM—Windows hangs on the loading screen when I start. I checked online, but everyone mentions a fix involving the Windows logo with spinning dots. On my machine, I get the logo but no dots, so restarting works fine. This is Windows 10 Pro. I wasn’t aware of this until the upgrade, should I follow their advice or try something else? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks again.
