I own an ASRock Pro4 B550 motherboard. The manual lists the RAM slots as A1, A2, B1, B2. With just two sticks, which placement should I use? I aim for dual-channel performance. It’s been a while since I assembled a PC, sorry.

Slots 2 and 4, meaning A2 and B2.

Could this be an A1 B1 configuration? I need a heat sink with a cleaner finish, especially if I upgrade it for better performance.

It could function well if the memory is fast, though it's generally advised to opt for A2 and B2.
