Discussing persistent driver delays in World of Warcraft.
I previously shared this update on /r/AMD. For a short while, resetting my RAM with Ryzen Master helped—probably only one crash during the patch period, which felt like a relief. However, the problem resurfaced with The War Within’s release. The situation is still ongoing. I’m really frustrated. On one hand, some users claim they’re unaffected, yet no one is addressing the issue publicly or offering solutions. And since I’ve already applied all the updates—chipset drivers, GPU drivers, BIOS—I’m starting to think something minor was damaged during those shutdowns. Maybe my RAM isn’t showing up in the QVL for my motherboard. Since posting this thread, I’ve installed every available fix. Now I’m convinced there’s a problem, but I can’t identify it clearly. I’m giving up hope of fixing it now.
I'd suggest a time frame between five and ten seconds. The game started working after the pause, though I've noticed some strange patterns. For example, holding down the left mouse button to change the camera angle doesn't make the cursor vanish or move horizontally as expected. Another observation was that GPU usage dropped noticeably after a TDR event—from 250W to around 150W. There were rare instances where the game acted without a dedicated GPU, only using the integrated one on my 7800X3D; this was fixed by pressing Alt+F4 and restarting. Overall, it's running and performance is present.
