I've observed during my play of Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 on my PC that it's displaying increased CPU usage while the GPU remains unused. Also, for those interested, this is the configuration I built about six months ago: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RJq7Qq Performance was generally smooth even with my Xbox One controller. I have a few questions that are on my mind: 1) Should older titles like this rely on CPU integrated graphics instead of GPU, or does it depend on factors such as development methods? 2) When I tried launching the game for the first time, it asked for Java—something I downloaded—and now it works. Can anyone clarify why Java is required here, especially since the game runs through Steam? Thanks and hope this helps! Feel free to ask more if you need further details.

Your i-gpu isn't showing anything, and the display connectors aren't connected. It might not be working properly. Also, I'll assume you're checking Task Manager, but it can sometimes give incorrect info—consider using another tool to track your usage.

It's common to monitor CPU and GPU usage, but you might want to explore other methods for greater accuracy.

It might give incorrect results. Verify GPU utilization on the GPU zone first.

It's unusual that no one responded to your Java question. I'm not sure if anyone has any knowledge on this topic. It might be helpful to look up resources or ask more specific questions.

The game isn't a Steam title; they simply sell it and take their share. It seems to be available for PC as well. Java powers the experience, with most performance coming from the CPU rather than the GPU. You should be able to locate emulators for mobile devices too. Have fun playing Sonic on the go!
