When using two monitors, one with higher resolution and the other lower, applying background images can cause issues. If the lower-resolution monitor is used, the background may shrink to fit, leaving a black border instead of displaying the full image. This happens because the system tries to accommodate both resolutions but doesn't align them properly. I've searched online, but the explanations seem unclear and confusing. Let me know if you need further clarification. Thanks!

At the office I utilize Ultramon with a 1440p screen and a 4K television, which supports resizing or stretching the background image to match any linked display.

Windows is now making it easier to use multiple monitors. Software like Multiple Monitors, UltraMon, and DisplayFusion are designed for this purpose. Wallpaper Engine focuses only on wallpapers. Each application should work with your monitors in separate profiles, allowing adjustments if necessary. It seems Windows settings can get confused when you have monitors at different resolutions.
