You're aiming for a precise build and checking if an Intel CPU fits. The 2933 specs are the baseline before you push the IMC to higher limits. Going above that is perfectly acceptable, as the IMC can manage it. XMP isn't really about overclocking in this context.

There’s no specific reason I avoid overclocking my memory; in fact, I strongly recommend doing so.
