Discussing gaming PC tips and advice
Hey there! I'm excited about your new gaming setup. Since your current machine is nearly eight years old, this build looks solid if you follow the right specs. The components you mentioned are all top-tier for performance and reliability. Just make sure to check compatibility between everything and consider cooling upgrades if you add more fans. Let me know how it goes!
case - don't know anything about it. cpu - get the 3700x instead, almost identical performance cooler - skip it, use stock cooler motherboard - refer to the motherboard tier list sticky ram - seems fine, maybe consider 3600 cl16 gpu - get a 2080 super with the money saved from your cooler and cpu hdd - seems fine ssd - seems fine psu - seems fine, maybe can lower to a 650w unit, but i get wanting more fans - cool led strip - rad
I chose the 3700x because it’s just 40 euros more than the 3800x, and I’m fine with that extra cost.
I need another case, it's too small for the GPU. I could use the CPU and cooler, which costs around 140 euros, and it would be a 2080 Super True. Will that stock CPU cooler be sufficient? And by what do you mean by "rad" on the LED strip?
1. Yeah, I don’t really know about the case size.
2. The stock cooler looks good for performance and a bit of OC—just leave it as is if you prefer.
3. I didn’t want to mention cool again; it’s just my personal preference, so I haven’t commented on it.
