Discussing frame timing and RAM.
You can observe performance issues by checking frame timing consistency and response times. High CAS latency RAM may cause noticeable delays in rendering or input lag, which you can detect through gameplay or benchmarking tests.
Bad frame timing causes stuttering in games. When you don’t experience stuttering, it means your frame times are fine.
You might rely on frametime plotters such as FRAPS, but if you don’t feel it, you’re generally okay
Check your visuals too—look at how much CPU and GPU are being used, not just the maximum.
Times refer to the reciprocal of frame rates. When a game operates at 60 frames per second, each frame requires up to 1/60 seconds (~16.6ms) for rendering.
