Discussing dual channeling in Rams systems
I own a single-piece 8gm heat shield and I need another one to enable dual channeling. I’m trying to locate a similar part, but it’s hard to find. There’s something close that might work. I want to know if the one I bought qualifies as dual channeling or not.
Check the first connection for timing details. Use CPUZ to check your RAM's speed, timing, and capacity, then look for a match.
They’re actually the same company with identical statistics, though one model includes an additional heat shield. I’m trying to confirm this thoroughly before deciding to purchase across long distances.
It will remain dual channel as long as each channel retains sufficient memory. For best results, aim for equal capacity across both channels so dual channel is available throughout. Mismatched devices in separate channels are acceptable, but ensure the slower device matches the settings of the other.
These JEDEC standards match well with other DDR4-2666V RAM modules. You can easily pair them with any compatible 8GB stick featuring 2666MHz and 19-19-19 timings. Your choice will work perfectly. Don't worry about the tRAS details—it won't affect performance.
