Fan Xpert has suddenly changed its behavior. Previously it worked perfectly with my setup, but now the CPU fan control is lost and the readings are incorrect. This occurred after I performed a fan tuning. The other case fans are fine. I own a CPU fan and an optional CPU fan on a Z87-A with an NH-D14. Both are 3-pin models, so PWM control isn't supported. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I enjoy the fan graphs and adjusting them so fans stay off below a specific temperature. I didn’t locate these settings in the BIOS.

Fan Tuning is the automated process, isn't it? That's your issue. It has replaced all prior settings. The only solution is to reset everything to the defaults. If that doesn't work, you'll need to reinstall.

After reinstalling, the configuration persists. Deleting settings automatically creates new ones, prompting Fan Tuning. Removing it forces Fan Xpert to apply voltage to a vacant fan header, which isn't ideal.

It seems headers work without any program running. That’s usually the issue. You shouldn’t interact with the motherboard while it’s on.
