Discussing antiviral topics What’s your question about antivirals?
Hey there, I'm just checking in about NOD32 and regular scans. Sometimes I see odd behavior on my new PC, but I'm not sure if others have similar issues. Are there any other software programs you use? Any recommendations for something extra to go with NOD32? This might seem like a simple question, but I'm just starting out with building my PC. Thanks!
Consider using reliable antivirus software and keep your systems updated.
In my opinion, Norton is consuming a lot of hard disk bandwidth, which causes it to slow down significantly. Unless you're using an SSD, it might be best to consider SmadAV.

Norton once had issues, but recently it seems to have improved. I favor Bitdefender, though purchasing multiple licenses for different devices often makes me choose its option each year. SSDs help enhance performance.
Be mindful of the sites you visit and stick to reputable sources. Install extensions such as Web of Trust and exercise extra caution when downloading software to prevent adware. For basic protection, Windows Defender (Microsoft Security Essentials) is sufficient before Windows 8. I also perform a scan with Malwarebytes Free each month. For enhanced security, consider Bitdefender Free combined with Malwarebytes. Remember, antivirus should be your final safeguard, not your sole defense.
