There isn't a dedicated app for VMs that runs directly on the host, but some solutions allow host applications to be used in virtual environments. The app you're referring to is likely called "VMware Workstation Pro" or similar virtualization tools.

I believe Linus mentioned something in the 7 Gamer 1 PC video.

It doesn't seem like it was the reason I used it with my Mac, and I didn't realize I wasn't even required to do that.

Are there any tools that allow guests to use an app without downloading it themselves, so you don’t need to save the same version?

If you struggle to be understood, others will either dismiss you or mock your ideas. You don’t want that. Clear and correct English is valuable—it lets you convey your message effectively, earn respect, and encourage deeper discussions. Regarding your question, virtual machines operate differently; they’re designed this way for specific reasons. At least the free versions I use don’t have this limitation, and you can share folders between host and guest systems. I’m not sure about the paid versions, though.

For efficiency, consider the options: 32-bit (Steam) and 64-bit.

I can access most premium options at no cost (thanks to my methods). Do you have any tools available—paid or free—that could help?

I'll test a single PC with GPU pass-through using a 1080, though the odds are low. I'm also considering adding a 970 and skipping virus testing since my antivirus handles that.
