Choose two dual-channel RAM modules for better stability, reduced power delivery to the CPU, and smoother XMP support for increased speed. A single 4 RAM stick may work in certain cases, though it's not commonly advised.

It's not commonly advised. Almost every group has four positions working well, except when trying extreme limits. We must end this misconception.

What people often say is that more sticks are better. However, today high-end CPUs don’t need it; dual-channel support works just fine. I didn’t make any mistakes in what I said. I could have added more details, but I prefer to be direct.

What's the issue? Let's move past that. Done. K?

For dual channel configuration, the pairs are A & B, meaning A1 & B1, A2 & B2. As long as there is at least one such pair, it indicates dual channel operation. This setup involves Channel A and Channel B together, forming a dual channel.

stops GN to avoid glitches ~ yes, that’s what’s puzzling me about the answers and questions... but perhaps their board differs? It’s not too bad, just worse. Deal with it? techgod is right, unless he’s mistaken, which he isn’t in this case—though I definitely like zalman cooler, even though he hated him a lot...

He didn’t really read the guide, so he’s completely lost on this tech stuff. Probably just doesn’t get the jargon about channels. Don’t believe everything you see online—some claims sound wild and might be misleading. Stay safe out there!

On my old MSDS B350M (mortar), everything appears correctly written, but the graphics showing the slot positions are very tiny and poor quality. It almost seems like the opposite would be true.

I use the standard MSI reset method. The B550m Mortar CMOS pins are on the left side of the top PCIE x16 connector. When a GPU is installed, it blocks access. I had to make an L-shaped Dupont wire with a momentary switch at the other end.
