You're looking for a way to customize your CPU fan speed based on your usage scenarios—like when streaming or doing overnight updates. Instead of relying solely on the default settings, you might explore apps or tools designed specifically for this purpose. There are several quick options available that let you adjust fan curves manually or automatically based on workload. Would you like suggestions on reliable apps or methods to achieve this?

No, the BIOS does not support setting a fan curve specifically for the CPU.

I understand you'd prefer not to access the bios for viewing a video.

The BIOS won't be open when you watch the video. In the BIOS, when you set a fan curve, it stays that way. Then when you boot up windows again, it does what you set it to do. Also make sure you quote us so we can see your responses.

I understand, the problem is that I don’t want this preset activated during gaming. I’d prefer it to be ready for quick use while watching videos or doing light tasks, so switching between modes isn’t convenient.

just adjust the fan curve for quieter operation when it's cool and normal speed when it's warm. you don't have to manually switch it on or off—just set it to adapt the speeds. many motherboards come with a "silent" setting that works well in these situations.
