Using that card means almost nothing will change. But upgrading to an RTX 4060 or similar later would make a difference.
This upgrade was necessary because 4 cores and 4 threads were too demanding, causing severe stutters. I aimed to reduce lag and allow the CPU to run more smoothly.
The 12400 seems like a solid choice. It delivers strong gaming performance and matches the capabilities of the Ryzen 7 3700X, which is essentially the same chip found in current consoles. This suggests developers will aim for comparable speeds across platforms. As games become more demanding over the next few years, the 10400 could struggle slightly—about 35% slower than the 3700X at full capacity—but I expect the 12400 to still perform well.
