Overclocking AMD CPUs over the past five years isn't as straightforward as it is with Intel.

It was a somewhat uncertain case regarding B450.

Generally, for gaming it's better to keep PBO enabled and let it boost, since games gain more from boosting just a few cores. For multithreaded tasks like rendering, an all-core manual OC works better—Ryzen Master lets you set per-core manual overclocks, with some cores running higher and others lower. This isn't true boost, but it's a manual fixed-overclock approach; you can't ensure the game will run on the higher clocks.

I've looked into Ryzen Master but haven't found a clear solution. For Ryzen 3.9–4.1, you should aim for a base boost of 4.4 and a performance boost of 1.0 or higher.

Uncertain about setting base and boost in Ryzen Master, only changed frequencies. If you aim for maximum boost and base, turn on PBO in BIOS.
