I recently purchased a kit of Dominator Platinum DDR5 6000 MT/s CL30 but encountered crashes during high load, whether playing games or running benchmarks. It works smoothly on my desktop now, but I’m stuck using XMP 1 at 5600 MHz instead of the higher profile. My system runs fine with 4080 and a 13900KS, so why isn’t my computer stable when pushing RAM speeds above 5600?

I don't have access to your specific hardware details. Could you provide the model of your motherboard, the BIOS version you're running, and the RAM slot configuration?

You're running a TUF Z790 Plus Wi-Fi with the sticks in slots A2 and B2, which are the farthest from the CPU. You've just updated to the latest BIOS version, 0812.

I’d attempt to reposition the memory, considering pressure affects stability especially with DDR5. It seems the board likely isn’t configuring the memory controller voltages properly. Since I’m unfamiliar with that specific board, I can’t confirm the ideal voltage settings—it varies based on BIOS version, board model, CPU, and memory speed. Based on similar ASUS models, values like System Agent 1V, IVR Transmitter 1.4V, and Memory Controller 1.3V might work, but you’ll need to experiment. Running a stress test such as Y cruncher VST can help confirm stability by pushing the controller to its limits.

Sure, feel free to ask for guidance on the voltage settings for your board and RAM.

It really depends on the board you own. The configurations for my Unify-X aren’t ideal for most users with that model (just like posts suggesting settings that work elsewhere). In truth, you’ll need to experiment to find what fits best. The settings I gathered from other ASUS boards should be fairly close to optimal, so it’s worth trying them out, though you’ll have to adjust them yourself to see what works and what doesn’t.
