You were asked to assist with adding new RAM to an HP ProDesk 600 G5. The installation went well, but you found the installed speed lower than the advertised maximum on both the RAM and motherboard. You're wondering if XMP or similar features can boost it to the full advertised rate (around 2660 MHz from about 2100). The problem is that the BIOS doesn’t provide many settings.

Have you attempted Intel XTU to activate XMP via software? If not located there and no BIOS support exists, it might be a limitation of your system.
