Hello everyone, I'm uncertain about the correct forum category. Please forgive if I'm not in the right place. I'm preparing a new build and have a query about the M.2 heatsink. I intend to purchase the MAG B660 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4, which seems to come with a heatsink for an M.2 SSD. I already have a Samsung 980 Pro 2T SSD with its own heatsink. My question is: Should I remove the SSD heatsink and use the motherboard's heatsink, or keep the SSD heatsink on and skip the motherboard one? Thanks for your advice!

Both options work well. I’d pick the SSD version since I don’t want to move it (and you likely got a premium price for it), but the performance gap is almost nonexistent.

Thank you for your reply. I also like this option since taking out the SSD cooling pad will cancel the warranty (it's stated there). Good to know the two cooling pads perform similarly.
