Hi! I've been enjoying Final Fantasy XIV at 1440p on my DSR setup, using a second monitor for certain tasks. The issue is that when I switch monitors, the game tends to minimize itself. I noticed yesterday I could play without minimization, but it didn’t work after restarting. I’m curious if there’s a way to avoid minimization while keeping borderless window mode enabled, since higher resolution helps with antialiasing. Thanks!

Occasionally, I notice certain games automatically open in borderless window mode. It seems like a glitch, honestly.

It seems odd since it didn’t revert to 1080p, and checking the settings confirmed it remained full screen. It’s disappointing if there isn’t an option to play in a scaled-down format.

I checked online and found suggestions to match your game's display settings. Adjust your desktop resolution to the same as your game runs, use borderless windowed mode, and consider boosting your graphics card settings for better performance.

Exclusive full screen means staying in a single view without any other options. The app must remain minimized when you move to another window since it’s always focused on the screen.

Some programs promise to maintain software even when you move away from the active window. I haven't found many successful results with these tools.

In the end, I tried thinking about adjusting the monitor resolution and using borderless windows. It isn't perfect, but it functions at least.
