I discovered a method to access a VPN even when the site is restricted (it helped me). Downloaded Zenmate from the Chrome extensions store link provided. It functioned for me. I encountered blocking from Fortiguard, so if you face similar issues, consider alternatives like "hide my ass" or "spotflux".
I previously relied on ultrasurf for Facebook at school, and it worked well.
