Discovered I cracked a portal riddle in an unexpected manner. 😄
Portal 2 featured many "find the white wall" challenges. Only a handful of levels permitted using white goo offered the most flexibility. In the initial portal, after completing tutorial stages and acquiring both portal hues, players could tackle nearly every puzzle through multiple approaches. I believe they intended this. Observe the challenge of maintaining progress while collecting and sustaining momentum. In the first portal, you could execute that jump with three loops since portal mechanics provide boosts differently in Portal compared to earlier versions. They slightly reduced the effect in Portal 2, but this actually enhances the experience overall.
It was definitely one of the most captivating stories in any game I've ever played. Plus, it was really amusing.
I recall that experience. I managed to solve it correctly, even if it took a long time to understand.
Great idea at first, but realized I was slowing down. Then I spotted those big pillars and figured out the best approach.
Portal 3 could be delayed after Half-Life 3 because of the connection between them and the upcoming tie-up.
