Imagine purchasing into Start Citizen and seeking a specific vessel... I'd look for something akin to the alkesh from Stargate. It was mainly a bomber but also served as an assault, cargo, and troop transport ship. Are there comparable ships available in SC? You can check the Stargate wiki link provided.

The Retaliator seems to be the most similar ATM, possibly the Freelancer MIS offering a more budget-friendly alternative (it's roughly the size of an Al'kesh if you check the Stargate Wiki, though in the show it adjusts its scale for different scenes). The Banu Merchantman looks like the closest in appearance but serves a trading role and is significantly bigger than the other two.

I've been thinking about joining this game for a bit and checking out the 325a. I'm aiming for a solid fighter ship, haven't played much but am ready to invest around $80. Are there any better alternatives? Also, could you share more about the 325a—what kind of playstyle does it suit best?

@ Matt_Allensy @ eHamm follow this code when making your first purchase for a bonus 5k UEC STAR-2DHS-2TDT. The Redeemer excels in troop transport and is quite effective as a bomber, though the torpedo module isn't available yet. @ eHamm, for fighter ships, I suggest the Gladius based on your price range. The 325a is rarely used now and tends to be seen as mediocre, while the Gladius is better suited for general combat roles.

You're considering different options, but I noticed you're weighing their suggestions. Whether to choose the gladius depends on your goals—each has its own strengths. Let me know if you'd like more details!
