Hi, I'm having some issues with my new fans. After a few suggestions, I bought two brand new Artic P12 PWM PST A-RGB fans in white. One was placed as an exhaust and it performed perfectly. My PC specs are: Artic Freezer 33, R5 1600@stock, ASUS TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING, MSI Armor GTX 1070Ti, Corsair CX 550W, Windows 10 64bit. The fan I put on the CPU cooler was functioning well for a while, but now it's making a very subtle noise—almost like the blades are scraping something. I checked the cooler, turned off the PC, and confirmed no cables were causing interference. After restarting, I saw a boot message saying "CPU fan error" and the new fan wasn't spinning. I tried reconnecting it a few times, but it still didn’t rotate. I then swapped in the old 4-pin Artic F12 and it spun slowly, still showing "CPU fan error" in the BIOS. It was loud enough to be noticeable. I tried the 3-pin Fractal fan, which spun at 1200rpm and was recognized by the BIOS. Now all four fans are working properly when connected elsewhere or in a daisy chain. It’s strange since the 3-pin fan is fine, and I don’t think there’s a hardware issue with the game. I’m trying to ignore the CPU fan monitor setting but can’t figure out what’s wrong. Maybe it’s related to PWM power delivery? Thanks for all the advice!

I tried all my fans on all connectors and this is what i found: Header RPM (ARGUS ) Conclusion CPU RPM Conclusion 4pin Black 0 Spins very slowly, about 100RPM 4pin White1 0 Two slow rotations then stops 4pin White2 0 Two slow rotations then stops 3pin Fractal 1234 RPM shows, but manual control doesnt work CHA1 RPM Conclusion 4pin Black 0 Spins, No RPM but manual control works 4pin White1 1230/55% RPM shows, manual control works 4pin White2 1230/55% RPM shows, manual control works 3pin Fractal 740/55% RPM shows, manual control works CHA2 RPM Conclusion 4pin Black 0 Spins, No RPM but manual control works 4pin White1 1230/55% RPM shows, manual control works 4pin White2 1230/55% RPM shows, manual control works 3pin Fractal 740/55% RPM shows, manual control works The interesting things are: - Older 4pin Artic F12 (Black) works just fine, PWM works, but it doesnt tell its RPM. - Oldest 3pin Fractal works in pins CHA1 and CHA2 just fine and the manual control works too even though its just DC regulated (?) - BUT when its plugged in the CPU header manual control doesnt do anything and the fan spins constantly at 1200RPM (???) I honestly dont know what to try after this since: - All of the fans are working - CPU header seems to be working and giving power (I dont have a multimeter to measure it), but it powers up the Fractal fan - PWM regulation everywhere else works so it isnt dead
