I was playing GTA V today and noticed a bug or glitch that lets ammo be swapped for money bags or similar items. I received over 40 million dollars in-game, which is frustrating because I couldn’t do much other than run. I’m worried about potential account bans. If anyone has dealt with this issue before, please share their experience and solutions. Sorry if there’s already a discussion about it, but I can’t find one.

Reach out to R* support right away and request its removal; otherwise, they may ban you during a ban wave, making it tougher to regain access.

Rockstar's recent release has had mixed reactions. Some folks have gotten banned for mishandling it, while others haven't. It might be worth reaching out to the creator to discuss the situation—they may be willing to address the issue rather than removing the payment.

Essentially, you have very limited options. Failure means a two-week suspension, eight months for the second offense, and a permanent ban on the third. Reports suggest support will block you regardless of circumstances, as with one friend’s experience.

Additionally, if you are banned, the funds will be taken from your account.

I believe they implemented thorough steps after the console breach. It seems they aimed to safeguard online environments from such incidents, as they could profit from selling shark cards. The fact that people managed to hack money properly is both surprising and unexpected. As long as you didn’t deliberately aim for this outcome, it should be okay—just report it promptly and avoid using the funds.

You're right, it should be fine since you reported it yourself.

Hackers are why I dislike PC multiplayer gaming. The only reason I enjoy multiplayer is on consoles—until they start getting jailbroken and adding hackers too.
