Today, Discord became stuck downloading update 1 of 15 and remains closed.
Why this is happening?
Update: I reinstalled Discord, but it still gets stuck in the update process and won’t open.
Mod Edit #2. According to the OP, Discord is now working again.

There are no unique aspects with Reliability History/Monitor.
No Discord events were detected in the Event Viewer.
The issue started yesterday.

Hey there
aor999
I just wanted to let you know I'm facing the same problem as you.
It began yesterday morning when I noticed it happening – at first I thought it was just 1 out of 15 in the update, but after trying to uninstall, reinstall, or clear the cache it went down to 1 out of 5.
We both have a GTX 1650 (though I'm not sure it's the drivers issue that the latest Discord update demands, which I actually don't have as an option) and we're using Windows 11 (version 22H2 Hebrew).
It might be related to ISP or location issues, or maybe there are problems with the bezeq IP ranges? I have no idea.
All I know is it keeps happening today, and I'm just using the web version of Discord – it works perfectly (and it's kind of funny that you can't use the app but the 'for web' version is so easy and bug-free).

This is exactly what is occurring.
If the issue was connected to Bezeq, I wouldn't be able to access Discord for web either. I question whether Bezeq is blocking Discord. The problem with the Discord software lies in the updates, and they cannot be ignored.

That also makes sense. I'm not sure what could cause the program to open but then fail to connect to Discord servers or update properly. This hasn't happened before for me—it was always quick, just a few seconds when checking for updates and then the update itself. I never noticed anything stuck or delayed, just a brief pause after it was updated. I'm really frustrated too, especially since I pay for the Discord premium. No idea what they did with this update, but it definitely broke things for us. It's really annoying.

Simply removed Discord using Revo Uninstaller, which cleared the registry and C: drive folders. Restarted the system, downloaded from the official site, clicked install, and it prompted for 5 files to complete a fresh setup. Everything worked smoothly. Running Windows 11 afterward.

but did you really face the challenge from the start? since the most recent update, everything has changed—so those actions might have been unnecessary.
