Discord and Chrome experiencing issues alongside other problems.
Are you running Windows 10 or Windows 11? I'm wondering if virtualization plays a role. You first talked about hypervisor problems with WSL, and by default using hypervisor features for security. I'm currently struggling with my memory, but it seems web apps might be part of the issue. Try turning off virtualization in the BIOS, then reinstalling. If needed, use a customized Windows 11 installer (Rufus offers an automatic option) and check if you encounter the same problems.
You're trying to run Windows 10 but ran into issues with updates. You restarted after the update process got stuck, then wiped the drive clean and managed to get it working again. Now you're planning to install Discord and Chrome.
Chrome works smoothly. Discord keeps failing and driver updates for Nvidia are problematic. Updated PC after restarting Discord. Neither app has crashed yet. The Nvidia installer still ends abruptly. Restarted once, no issues. Before a full Windows reinstall, it would normally restart itself.
Hey everyone! Looks like I've managed to get my PC running smoothly for now. The solution seems to be adjusting the P core voltages down to 59x and boosting the overall voltage offset slightly. It's a bit frustrating since we're talking about a high-performance chip, but stability is a win. If anyone knows of other problems with the 13900KS at factory settings, feel free to share. Thanks again for all the advice and support!
