Purchased it second-hand. Considering whether to proceed with testing. The socket has bent pins that can be reshaped, but the discoloration is worrying.

Are you referring to the bottom section of the socket? Consider using a toothbrush along with 99% isopropyl alcohol or an electronic contact cleaner spray, if available. That should resolve the issue.

This product is worth trying if you're considering it, but only if you expect it to work as advertised. It may not function properly upon arrival.

I'm worried about the bent pins and ignore any color changes.

Metal changes color is common at connections. Bent pins are the main problem.

Those pins will conduct way better than those bent ones. Man.. people are clumsy. No care, or maybe no body control

Adjusted the pins, cleaned the socket, and it worked perfectly—thanks! RAM XMP functioned smoothly, all five NVMe slots operated correctly, etc. It was a great day. Purchased for £370, but after repairs the seller reduced the price by £140, so I paid only £230. Wow!
