the issue seems unusual with my CPU. the specs look good—amd threadripper 1950x, 3.75gh, 3200mhz, plenty of memory. it's watercooled and paired with two rtx 2080s, temps are normal. i also tested it at full speed but it ran smoothly afterward. for the f@h event, i need maximum stability during long operation. i’m thinking about pushing the rtx 2080s to higher overclocks. but there’s something strange: whenever i set the core multiplier to 'auto', the system freezes for a few minutes before launching windows, and only three memory channels are active. i can’t get channel c1 back online even on stock clocks. it only works again after another overclock. how is this possible?
Yes, a couple of times during BIOS, mostly after removing the battery. Unfortunately, it didn’t work, and it was even worse since I had customized fan settings that were lost.
