Disable Windows 10 Updates
Disable Windows 10 Updates
I initially planned to set up Windows 10, but I discovered it would replace my existing operating system. I paused the installation now, yet the Windows 10 update remains visible. I've attempted to conceal it, but it still shows up. What steps can I take to remove it?
This page offers a download that integrates it into the update center feature.
The Windows insider link provided an executable file, and after restarting the computer, it displayed the application.
The system doesn’t support a standard update installation. This link is intended for the technical preview of Windows 10, which must be tested in a virtual environment. It explicitly advises against installing it on your device. You’ll need to format the drive and reinstall Windows 7 to remove it, or simply right-click and select 'hide update'.
If someone else made the same error, it might be typical on Windows help pages. You can try these steps: 1) Press the Start button and type "View installed updates." 2) Look for "KB2990214" without any spaces. 3) Click it and choose "Uninstall." 4) Restart your PC and check for updates again.
ISOs can also be obtained for download. Visit preview.windows.com and log in to the application inside to access the download page. At the bottom, you'll find a link to a page containing the ISO files. The 64-bit edition is available at 3.9GB.
