I wasn't aware this setting was enabled by default or that it might have just been activated recently. The conflicting reports are confusing—some say performance improved, others mention screen issues after disabling certain features. Since I'm mainly using MHWilds and it runs smoothly without stuttering, it seems unnecessary to adjust anything. The lack of discussion around this topic is also puzzling.

Absolutely, since it doesn't matter, Hyper-V isn't doing much beyond consuming a small amount of storage space. Just keep it that way. The many suggestions about adjusting Windows are likely just misleading information spread through repeated retelling.

They're not focusing on Hyper-V, but on security through virtualization. You might need to use PowerShell or regedit for a temporary fix.

Received significant FPS improvement by turning off VBS. Performance gains range from 10 to 15%. Note: This affects CPU usage, which may reduce normal game stats.

Most adjustments don’t really help or might even make things worse. It looks complicated to disable them, which is why I’m skipping it—just wasn’t sure, thanks!

Yes, you're right, they mention disabling Hyper V as a step, but some say the performance differences aren't significant. If it seems simple enough, testing it might be worth a try—so you wouldn't need to shut down Hyper V just to proceed.

I just verified it’s still off despite a complete 24h2 setup. Likely the issue stems from disabling virtualization in the BIOS. I’ve used separate machines outside the gaming PC for that purpose.

VBS relies on Hyper-V, so turning off Hyper-V will also stop VBS. Alternatively, you can disable VBS independently.

I once encountered a glitch in Windows while testing with Hyper-V active. It caused the CPU's BCLK to vary between 95MHz and 100MHz, leading to noticeable slowdowns as the processor would frequently boost less than expected. The issue was easy to reproduce across several machines, indicating it wasn't limited to my system. I'm unsure if this bug persists since I no longer use Windows. Additionally, enabling TSME can harm CPU performance in memory-heavy situations.

It doesn’t seem to be a significant issue on a fairly recent modern setup. I didn’t notice any performance changes on my Ryzen 9 3900x over the past few years.
