I just installed Windows 10 and reinstalled all my games. I’m trying to figure out why DirectX 12 isn’t working in GTA 5—can’t pick it, and I’m unsure if the game isn’t supporting it or if I need a different driver. I have a GTX 660. The problem seems to be with the game itself, not just my hardware. When will DirectX 12 become available for GTA 5?

Maybe it’s just what everyone else can truly say.

It seems unlikely the game was made before DX12's era, making a port to that version improbable.

Was ich meinst, DirectX 12 konzentriert sich tatsächlich auf verbesserte Effizienz auf leistungsfähigeren Geräten.

FTFY Rumors suggest Tomb Raider might be pushed back to back DirectX 12 support—likely no port soon, perhaps GTA VI comes next.

High chance that you're right cause I can't really find anything about it on the internet.

They might do it because it seems like a better chance, even though it doesn't align with their usual approach.
