Hey everyone, I'm just beginning the journey of overclocking my 7700k. I've paired it with an LM and achieved some solid performance under water cooling. My goals are to push it to 5 GHZ at 1.27V with AVX disabled around 70°C for regular use, and up to 5.2 GHZ at 1.36V with AVX enabled near 82°C. Are these numbers realistic? Do I have a high-end chip like a "golden" model?

They're fairly good overall. You should be able to enjoy most games with minimal problems.

These watches are great, but the 4-core design is a big drawback. The 7700K still has this problem.

Absolutely, my setup was running a 7700K with a quad-core processor. It became quite challenging for daily tasks after moving to an 8-core machine, even without overclocking. Switching to a 9900K helped things improve rapidly.

Absolutely, I've been considering a 5600X upgrade or something comparable...

Great selection of chips. Probably in the top 10% or more.
