I assembled a setup using an RTX 2070 Ryzen 5 2600x with a 1 Boot SSD, paired with some hard drives for less demanding titles. With 16 GB DDR4 at 3200Mhz and the new PC specs in mind, I realized I’d invested a significant amount after saving for a long time. While upgradability matters for PC, I don’t expect the same flexibility as on the console. Personally, I value my favorite exclusives and multitasking capabilities, but would a console have been a better choice?

The forum name has been taken because of this inquiry. Joking aside, if you're unhappy, it means you weren't fully satisfied. What aspects of your PC are you not happy about? Expandability, frame rates, loading times, future-proofing, or the cost?

I'm really pleased with the outcome; this device performs exceptionally well. However, I've only had it for about a year, so will it maintain an average performance over such a brief time? A clever joke there!

PC components change quickly, just like consoles. A new Xbox now might seem great, but in a few years it could feel outdated. Technology moves fast—what’s cutting-edge today might be common tomorrow.

It hinges on how crucial and relevant those reasons are to you. I’d say no, but if you’re just playing for fun and using a controller or whatever’s available, it’s okay to enjoy the experience.

Not at all. What I am saying is would it have been a better overall choice to wait for console and buy that instead? I'm 14, that extra 250 or more pounds is a LOT of money to me.
