Other CPUs manage better, but it won't function properly when the multiplier fails unless you're adjusting it carefully—like choosing 4.4 instead of 4.5. In your situation, 4.4 worked, 4.5 didn't, and they suggested trying 4.53. Do you notice the issue?

I agree with your clarification and notice there are two distinct viewpoints regarding the issue. Based on my observations, sometimes adjusting the base clock can lead to higher overclocking than increasing the multiplier. This largely depends on whether the silicon performed well or not and how responsive the VRMs are to changes in the base clock. We can only determine this by testing. Some chips that fail at high multiplier settings tend to handle base clock adjustments better, though many factors influence the result and it often comes down to chance.

I'm a very open-minded individual, so I'm willing to take the chance—even for myself, like the 5820K. It doesn't make sense to me, but you're not the one to claim it sometimes. Good luck!

It functioned well on my old i7 2600K and my brother's FX 4300. I can't confirm it will always work.
