Hey guys, just built a new PC with a 5800X3D, Noctua DH15 and 7900XT. Unfortunately, it is a very tight fit in a H5 Flow.
There is a small clearance (couple of mm) between my Noctua and 7900XT (and RAM as well). Will this cause any damage in the long run?
I had to slightly move my second fan on my Noctua because of the height of my G.Skill Trident Z RAM. Currently, running between 40-50 celsius idle on my CPU. I've read that it's normal.
Any idea to improve temps other than playing with Ryzen Master? I've got to flip my top fan, it's currently pushing air in ( need to put in pull config)
Thanks for any input

The build appears very neat. Regarding the connection between the CPU cooler and GPU, it's not an issue since the GPU has a backplate, preventing direct contact with the PCB.

Not an issue.
Trying to just turn off the top fan could work. I believe it would push the cooled air upward and out of the case, keeping it away from the cooler.

The gap between the motherboard socket and the first PCIe x16 slot isn't quite the usual measurement. Certain motherboards position the slot in an atypical way. Large coolers such as the NH-D15 can affect the GPU back plate. To address this, the NH-D15 was created with a slight adjustment for better space. It's also built to run with just one fan, which supports using RAM with tall heat spreaders. Overall performance remains nearly identical.

I've considered that too. The backplate is meant to shield the GPU properly. But I just noticed my second CPU cooler fan is sitting right on top of it, even though it's the rubber component. Shouldn't that cause any issues?
Hmm, thanks for the tip. I'll check the temperatures with and without the top fan!
Thanks!
I did some research before purchasing these parts, but I should have learned more about the D15s. I'm sticking with this setup—it's way too much trouble to change the CPU cooler now. 😛

Sure, the construction and initial setup are okay. If you reach the stage of rubber melting, you'd face much bigger issues.
