Hello! I recently put together a build and am unsure if I made the best decision. With a $1200 budget, I was strictly focused on gaming. Previously, I didn’t like AMD, but someone suggested this setup. Was it the right move? I also plan to upgrade the SSD later.

If your existing setup was based on AM4, I would strongly recommend moving to a 5800X3D and consider it complete. For those just beginning, the 12th generation model offers a path to upgrade to 14700K. It's not a low-end power unit, yet the combined specs with an entry-level SeaSonic that isn't actually from SeaSonic are quite disappointing. It feels like a budget option that's outsourced, probably to Helly.
