I might have attached the aRGB splitter cable incorrectly onto my ASUS Z390 MAXIMUS XI APEX board, or the header could be faulty and I’m only discovering this now. I bought the board secondhand on eBay about a month ago because it’s rare and expensive, and hard to find in the US—especially since it’s no longer produced. It seems I may have bent the pins on the aRGB header. The only visible issues on the board are bent pins. I’m not worried about any damage to the connected lights, but mainly concerned about the motherboard itself. I ordered an inexpensive aRGB strip from Amazon to test the header, which should arrive in a few days. Could there really be a risk of damaging it? I managed to straighten the pins without any physical harm or electrical signs on the board. It’s still covered under warranty until 2022.

I believe it would help to clarify your point once more, since it seems unclear what exactly occurred. ???
