Did you get a faulty GPU?
Your new GPU is an overclocked model requiring three 8-pin power connectors. Attach them using a single cable for each. Placing two 8-pin connections on one cable can cause overload. Also, ensure the motherboard has both the 8-pin and 4-pin EPS cables connected—they supply the extra power needed.
I have set everything up so that each of the 8 pin connectors on the GPU has its own cable. I've also tried with just the 8 pin on the mobo, as well as the 8 and the 4. In both scenarios, the same problem persisted.
Sounds good to hear, I'm not alone in thinking this. I haven't missed my mind, I'll try again when I get home, but if I get the same results I'll just throw the card away. Thanks to everyone for the help, I just want to play Starfield haha
