The price you paid seems reasonable for that amount of RAM. It’s a solid value for a 12GB buffered DIMM DDR2 module around $6.

I'm wondering what your real intentions are with it? Ddr2 is essentially obsolete—it's a decent offer, but you won't get much out of it, and selling it won't bring you much more than a small profit. So... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
