Motherboard model: Asus X670 E-E gaming wifi PC operated normally until yesterday, restarted today and displayed "System has booted in SAFE mode." After a reboot, it entered auto-repair mode and remained there for 15 minutes. I powered it down, transferred a new BIOS onto a flash drive, and attempted a BIOS flashback. A tutorial suggested watching a video for my model, noting the green LED on the flashback switch would illuminate for 5-6 minutes before turning off, signaling completion. The green light stayed on about 12 minutes, so I disconnected the PSU, restarted, and updated via Asus EZ Flash. The update proceeded smoothly, but after rebooting, no display appeared and the motherboard Q-code showed 00. I turned it off again and tried to power it up, but it hasn’t responded since. What a situation!

Hey! I was dealing with a similar issue the other day! I helped a friend flash a newer BIOS on a Crosshair VIII Dark Hero over chat lol. When doing the USB BIOS flashback the light HAS TO BE BLINKING. If it glows solid it's not doing anything (error). Check if your USB is formatted with FAT32, not exFAT.

The display remained bright without changing. You tried changing the file system to FAT32 and then to MBR from GPT, but it didn’t stop glowing. Consider other troubleshooting steps.

Consider using a different USB stick. My MSI B550 tends to be strict about flash drives. Only the smaller, older ones seem to fit. I’m now keeping an 8GB drive specifically for this purpose.

Yes indeed.BIOS flashback button needs to stop blinking once flashing is done. If you can get a flash drive with flashing light while it is in use, it would help you a lot. Asus flashback indeed is very picky with flash drives. If you interrupted the process while flashing that is bad news. This is why anyone who flashes BIOS, get one flash drive with flashing light, when you start and end flashing process you will know by that flashing light on pen drive.

Used a 32 GB storage device for the flashback attempt; the indicator started flashing, then ceased, I cut off the PSU power and restarted the system but received no response afterward.
