They installed the latest BIOS for this model when you bought it. Whether you need to update it depends on your device's requirements and manufacturer recommendations.

The decision to upgrade the BIOS depends on several factors. Are your system issues affecting performance? Do you require improved memory support? Is a replacement processor necessary? If so, which model should you consider and what version are you running now?

The X570 supports Zen 2 by default. We’ll need to confirm that a lower-cost B550 model still meets your needs, despite its DMI 4 support. The price is currently being discussed.

You haven't found a compelling reason to leave it as is. If the board includes an outdated BIOS version, updating would be advisable, as earlier releases often had problems.

Placed the order, it’s scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Should I check if I need to update the BIOS myself or take it from the local store due to warranty? The model is 3900X with Vengeance PRO 3200MHz.

Early BIOS versions date back to the late 1990s or early 2000s, not 2019. Regarding warranty, losing it might affect BIOS updates—check your specific manufacturer’s terms.

I just visited the product site and saw many new bios updates. It's hard to predict if everything will work, so I need to figure out whether the local store staff should update the bios now or wait. I want to let them know while they're in the store.

You can handle the BIOS update on your own—it's simple and won't cancel your warranty.

I understand your concern, but without a backup BIOS chip, things could become risky if something fails.
