If you use a low-quality PSU and attempt to overclock your system, it can lead to serious problems. It's better to invest in a reliable PSU as an investment that safeguards your other parts and ensures longevity (and potential upgrades). You don't require an expensive 850W unit; a 550W model would suffice perfectly. The savings from a smaller PSU could be used for a higher-quality one or another purpose. Still, your new PSU is significantly better than the old one. Also, EVGA is a well-known OEM brand, unlike Kentek.
Hello... following the unsuccessful OC configuration, perform a battery removal for the MB unit and CMOS reset for about 3 minutes. This will restore everything to the original or default settings for another attempt B). Also, ensure the power supply is unplugged from the wall.
What you're referring to is describing sounds similar to a laser printer. Are you checking if your optical drive is working? Could the unusual noise be coming from the motherboard or case speaker? Please share your full system specifications.
I attempted the cmos battery again for 10 minutes, with the power cord unplugged. No success. I have an optical drive, but it doesn't produce sounds like this. It emitted an odd electronic noise, similar to a printer. I was trying to adjust my memory to the correct frequency.
Hello... Sure, RMA and returns usually handle that. It seems like your OC settings might have shifted the balance a bit, possibly affecting the power MOSFETs or the power supply circuit. B /
I disconnected my sata devices in a similar way someone else did to resolve his issue. Now the system starts with the correct code, but I’m not seeing anything on the screen. The code was first running during startup yesterday, when I first booted up. I’ll try testing my video card tomorrow using an old motherboard to confirm it’s working properly.
