Did I be too harsh on my motherboard?
I’ve got an Asus ROG Strix B550-A with full ATX setup. The NH-D15s are hanging off because the 5800x3d is running hot. I had to tighten a standoff, removed most plugs except the 24pin, and kept it near the cooler for ten seconds while securing it. While doing that, the 24pin stayed neatly managed so it didn’t move too much. I also changed the power supplies and swapped the 24pin with the motherboard, which required some effort. Everything is functioning properly now. Probably just a bit of paranoia—though I’m curious how noticeable it would be if something was damaged. Would I notice right away, or could it quietly cause issues without me realizing? It’s scary thinking about what might be hidden inside. Sorry for asking such worried questions; this system cost me a lot, and I’m really concerned.
No, you didn't mention that in your follow-up. Let me know how I can help!
