Hey everyone, I’m really confused about this setup. I just got a 6950XT and paired it with a new HX1000 from Corsair. I’ve been using three separate cables to power the GPU from the PSU, since it needs 8-8-6 pins. I’ve also tried a 6-2 + 6-2 + 6 configuration. When I first turned it on, everything worked fine. But then it crashed right away when trying to load into a 3Dmark TimeSpy Direct 12 test. After that, I switched to a different HDMI cable and it worked perfectly twice. Then I tried War Thunder, but the game died when loading. Maybe the HDMI cable is too bad for such a powerful GPU? Could that be why it’s causing such issues? I’ve re-downloaded the drivers, removed them with AMD software and CCleaner, but nothing seems to help. I’ve also tried using 3.0 ports. My BIOS is the latest version. The only thing I’ve found online that might help is that it could be an issue with the HDMI cables not delivering enough power. I’ve ordered some better display ports just in case. I’m also using a few Corsair fans and two 2TB HDDs. Everything else seems fine, and my BIOS is up to date. Could anyone give me some advice on what might be going wrong?

Install DDU in Safe Mode, then obtain a slightly newer driver from AMD's site and test the process. Poor HDMI connections won't cause your PC to crash.

Thanks for the update. I’ve reviewed DDU and noticed you can uninstall chipset drivers, which helps avoid issues. Regarding the AMD section, are there specific points you should confirm aren’t marked as completed?

I frequently use DDU for both AMD and Nvidia cards, never faced any problems removing chipset drivers. Regardless of the settings, the defaults work well.

According to the provided outline, there are no concerns about DDU taking such actions.

I completed the DDU process and reinstalled the driver, but the problem persists. Do you have any alternative suggestions? A 1000W should work fine for a 5900x and 6950XT.

Did you reinstall the identical driver or a version from earlier? 1000W should work fine.
