I believe I altered everything except my GPU, and it stopped functioning (about 2-3 years ago). At some point I did something, and it ceased completely for a full year, then resumed. The reason is unclear.

Did you remove the oldest drivers and hardware updates in Event Viewer to address kernel issues? Also, did you look up the issue ID on the Microsoft Bug Forum for possible solutions?

Recently I faced the same issue, everything froze and I couldn't click anything on my desktop. My mouse was a Monster PUSAT MMO with 19 keys, and it caused this problem. I dropped the mouse a few times and it broke, so I replaced it and the issue was fixed. I'm not sure if your problem is the same, so I suggested trying to unplug everything and see if it resolves the freezing.

I completed a clean installation on my PC after upgrading hardware. Often I discover issues, so I’m considering resetting everything after school tasks and then reinstalling Windows.

Have some extra space, move your belongings there, and then you might be able to attempt a clear windows setup, though it’s the final option.
