I played Elden Ring on release with a 5700x and a 3060ti system, no problems at all. I restarted it to test the new DLC on my newer machine, but I keep seeing white flashing lights in the skybox, no matter the in-game time of day or region—except inside caves or buildings. I've double-checked game files, reinstalled/reinstalled the game on a different drive, updated drivers, adjusted DirectX settings, and tweaked graphics options. The only setting that helps is lowering volumetric quality, though it doesn’t fully stop the issue. Any advice or clarification would be appreciated. Attaching a clip for reference. Temperatures stay below 70. Current specs: 7800x3d RX 6950xt (FX), B650 e-f mobo; BIOS 2413 850W, Thor PSU 360 Kraken Elite, updated on 2024-06-20.

It seems there might be a compatibility problem with the AMD driver affecting your gameplay. Have you tried using an updated driver version? When I first got the 7900XTX, similar issues appeared in certain titles, and switching drivers resolved them for that game.

The new DLC is now available. You may want to wait for a driver update to ensure proper compatibility.

I also attempted to revert the settings, but only located one earlier version from January, which didn’t resolve the problem. It’s unclear what the issue is. Lately I’ve been playing Death Stranding, Destiny 2, Diablo 4, Dead Cells, V Rising—everything works fine, stable performance and top graphics. If this is related to a driver, I’m hoping AMD will soon release an updated version.

The issue doesn’t seem linked to the DLC itself. It behaved identically in the base game the day before the Day 1 patch dropped, and the DLC was released. I reverted back to confirm my understanding and that my setup remained functional. I expected a change when entering from the DLC area, but it didn’t occur.

It might be better to wait for an official driver update from AMD. You can also try using DDU and installing various driver versions to test their compatibility.
