Diagnose RAM setup issues Fix RAM configuration problems Resolve memory setup errors
Hi, I just purchased some older 4GB DDR3 Hyper X RAM for my old workstation. I noticed something odd—when installed, it shows 10GB instead of the expected 12GB. I understand it’s best not to mix different brands, especially with three different manufacturers, but I’m unsure how to fix this. My system is an HP Z210S with a second-gen i7 2600 CPU. Any advice?
I noticed you had one 1x4GB Patriot stick, two 2GB HP sticks, and later added a 4GB Hyper X stick.
They purchased two separate 4GB sticks at different times, each with distinct OEM memory. At one point you had the 2x2GB OEM, and another time a 4GB stick in the system, which functioned correctly. Recently, you added a second 4GB stick, expecting it to show 12GB, but only registered 10GB.
Also the word realized is spelled differently, right? I'm an Aussie, lmao.
