Same as before with the boot drive. I’m considering giving up and getting the new PSU cables for the 1060. I need to fix whatever issues the boot drive has so I can enter Windows and remove the 1060 drivers. I’m not sure what’s wrong with the 5700x3d yet, but I think it’ll be the last one.
The CPU communicates with RAM through data buses, enabling quick access to information needed for processing tasks.
Here are some photos showing devices that aren’t plugged in but still powered, ones that are connected but off, and ones that are on despite being older models. Since the system is running smoothly, I’m happy to share—just skip the front fans; opening this case can be tricky and messy. Thanks!
Nah, it would look even better with a close-up shot like that. I’d love to see the details, especially the four LEDs and how they’re lit.
Here’s a revised version of your text:
It looks like the system changes color—shifting through orange, red, white, then green—when it finally posts. At the moment, I’m using the 1600 and 1060 with the updated PSU, but the boot drive still isn’t being recognized, just like before I switched to the new PSU. I plan to use a USB drive as a temporary boot solution, hoping it’ll resolve the issue. Once that’s sorted, my strategy seems to be uninstalling any leftover 1060 drivers and updating the BIOS.
I’m starting to believe the 5700x3d worked fine then, as it either had a white (4070) or green (1060) light. However, I didn’t get any output because I was only connecting the 1060 to the old PSU. I’ll attempt to recover Windows from a thumb drive to check if the SSD is recognized! Thanks for your assistance.
It seems I just had to disable CSM in the BIOS, which apparently resolved my SSD issue. It looks like my chosen boot device wasn’t right either. I removed the drivers for the 1060, updated some motherboard drivers, and turned off the PC. Then I switched to the 4070 Ti, and… it stops at the white LED, so I suspect that’s the cause. For now, I’ll go with the 1060 and install the 5700x3d along with the remaining RAM sticks, just to verify everything else is fine. @DandaCze Are there other steps I can take besides reaching out to the store about the GPU? I’ve figured it’s likely the issue, it’s B Grade/Refurbished, and I assume they’ve checked it, it should be covered under warranty.
